Alice Toth

Alice Toth has been working for Frames Unlimited for 11 years, managing our Grand Rapids, South location for the past 9 years.

She recounts her most memorable framing project - "It was a shadow box of World War II canteens, one U.S. Army, the other German Army along with a photo. It's a wonderful story of two men of opposing sides on a trek to an American POW camp and becoming good friends that lasted throughout their lifetime." Alice adds, "I love listening to my customers tell me their unique, personal piece of history."

She continues about her work, "I love the physical work of framing. I love the process from designing through the production stages to the completed project. This work keeps me active and always thinking creatively. I enjoy helping my customers design their projects and getting to know them."

When she's not at work, Alice likes to read, paint (mostly watercolors and dabbling in acrylics), but she loves to sew and it shows! "I've become addicted to designing and making purses, so much so, that during the summer I do various craft shows. This June I'll be in the Art Sales Tent during the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts. I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself . . . It means I can make so many more!!!"

During her down time from work and sewing Alice spends her time with Daisy. Anyone who knows Alice, knows she loves her dog . . . Okay . . . Maybe a bit too much, but Daisy's so sweet. "She's a black lab/terrier mix I adopted 4 years ago from the animal shelter. At a whopping 30 pounds, she's my mini lab. Daisy loves her twice daily walks, her visit to the convenience store for morning dog treats, raiding my bunny's cage of dry bread and lettuce . . . Now I know why I walk her so much! Daisy's sweet personality and playful soul keeps me smiling."
